Per Diem Nurse - Santa Clara

About the role

The Per Diem Nurse plays a vital role in shaping each patient's care by assessing needs, planning treatment, and evaluating outcomes with compassion and confidence. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to quality improvement and patient-centered outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Captures and analyzes assessment data to formulate resident care problems, individualized outcomes, plans, implements and evaluates nursing interventions
• Facilitates the Recreational Group for the program
• Provides all care required to be given by a RN on shift assigned
• Maintains compliance with all regulatory and facility documentation standards
• Collaborates with Psychiatrist to ensure quality of medication administration, adequate consents, medical treatment and follow-up
• Collaborates with Clinical Manager to ensure health and safety, infection control, resource utilization, and clinical and rehabilitative standards of care
• Participates in nursing department, staff meetings and other facility activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Active CA Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR – BLS certification
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca' insurance policy
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements

Preferred

• Past psychiatric nursing experience
• Bilingual Spanish skill set

Benefits

• Starting $61.90 - $64.40 per hour, commensurate with experience
• Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam
• Salary increases each year
