Per Diem Nurse

Job Summary

American Endovascular is seeking a Per Diem RN to work in their Bronx, NY location. The ideal candidate should have experience in Critical Care, Emergency Room, ICU, or Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab and be passionate about improving patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and caring for patients in Pre, Intra and Post Op settings
• Administering medications and moderate sedation as directed by the physician
• Obtaining patient histories, vital signs, venipuncture, specimen collection, and educating patients
• Administering various medications and lab tests
• Maintaining inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents
• Evaluating patient status during and after procedures
• Cleaning, transporting, and storing reusable medical equipment
• Recording diagnosis, treatment plans, progress notes, and doctors' orders in patient charts
• Coordinating and participating in patient follow-up care
• Ensuring patient flow and maintaining a state of readiness for inspections

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in Critical Care, Emergency Room, Interventional Radiology, or Cath Lab
• Intra op monitoring experience preferred
• Conscious sedation/moderate sedation certification a plus

Salary will be based on experience.
