Under the direction of the MRI Supervisor and the supervision of a radiologist, you will perform a variety of technical procedures applying a prescribed magnetic field to obtain high-quality images for interpretation by a radiologist.
Responsibilities
- MRI Competency for each Procedure: Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic accurate examinations.
- Time Management: Works timely, efficiently, and independently to complete all tasks.
- Equipment Competencies: Maintains safe functioning, operation, and cleanliness of MRI equipment and coils.
- Patient Competencies: Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients.
- Contrast Injection Competencies: Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, procedures, and correct use of protective barrier equipment for injections.
- Departmental Competencies: Assists in daily operations of the department.
- Essential Functions: Exhibits good organizational skills.
- Quality of Operation: Ability to collaborate effectively with others in the department and across other areas of the Hospital.
Qualifications
Education: Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT registry eligible. Must obtain within 3 months of hire.
Experience: Minimum of one year of MRI experience required. Prior experience in ultrasound, CT, nuclear medicine, DSA, cross-sectional anatomy, and computer operations is preferred.
Licensure: Registration by the ARRT or ARRT registry eligible (must obtain within 3 months of hire). CPR certification (BLS) required.
