Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of technical MRI procedures under the direction of the MRI Supervisor and supervision of a radiologist, applying a prescribed magnetic field to obtain high-quality images for interpretation.
• Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic accurate examinations.
• Works timely, efficiently, and independently to complete all tasks.
• Maintains safe functioning, operation, and cleanliness of MRI equipment and coils.
• Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients.
• Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, procedures, and correct use of protective barrier equipment for contrast injections.
• Assists in daily operations of the department.
• Demonstrates good organizational skills.
• Collaborates effectively with others in the Radiology department and other areas of the hospital.

Requirements

• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT registry eligible (must obtain within 3 months of hire).
• Minimum of one year of MRI experience required.
• Prior experience in ultrasound, CT, nuclear medicine, DSA, cross-sectional anatomy, and computer operations is preferred.
• CPR certification (BLS) required.
