PEPI Senior Associate - Human Capital M&A (Open to all US locations)

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) is a specialized practice within the firm, focusing on improving operating results at private equity portfolio companies. The PEPI HR M&A team provides holistic, cross-functional M&A services across finance, IT, and operational functions, with a focus on total rewards, talent, and HR operations.

Responsibilities

• Preparing initial observations through public document reviews
• Building and managing financial models (workforce planning tools, total rewards quantification, compensation planning, etc.)
• Coordinating across other practice groups within A&M
• Inputting into Human Capital diligence reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, actuarial science, statistics, economics, mathematics, business, accounting, or finance
• 3 to 6 years’ of experience
• Strong analytic skills; high level of functionality with Microsoft Office products
• Prior M&A experience highly considered
• Outstanding communication skills both oral and written essential
• Flexible work schedule; M&A projects often involve tight timelines
