About the role
This position is responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, alleys, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and related public works facilities.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery such as jackhammers, tampers, saws, and asphalt rollers.
- Perform asphalt patching, crack sealing, and surface treatments.
- Assist in the construction and repair of streets, alleys, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices and barricades in work zones.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of experience in street maintenance, construction, or a related field.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within six months of hire.
- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in street maintenance and construction.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, sketches, and blueprints.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work safely and follow established safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Pay
$18.50 - $22.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
- Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
