Position Summary

The People Project Specialist, Strategy & Performance supports the People Team by coordinating the routines, tools, communications, reporting, and governance practices that help translate people strategy into measurable progress and business impact. This role supports HR strategy execution through performance management routines, scorecards, reporting, project coordination, and initiative tracking that help leaders stay aligned on priorities, decisions, risks, and outcomes. The position also plays a key role in supporting internal communications by helping plan, develop, and execute communications that keep associates informed, connected, and aligned with business priorities, culture, and organizational change.

How You’ll Impact Results

  • Coordinate People Team operating rhythms, including monthly and quarterly review cadences, agenda planning, materials preparation, action tracking, and follow-up activities.
  • Maintain scorecards, dashboards, and executive reporting that track progress against strategic priorities, goals, initiatives, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes.
  • Consolidate updates from across People Team workstreams into clear and actionable reports for leadership.
  • Monitor initiative health by tracking deliverables, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, operating rhythms, governance practices, and visibility into strategic priorities.
  • Support the planning and execution of People Team projects, programs, and initiatives that advance business and talent priorities.
  • Maintain project plans, timelines, status reporting, stakeholder communications, decision logs, and implementation tools.
  • Coverage with HR, Operations, Finance, IT, Communications, and other partners to maintain alignment and support effective execution.
  • Prepare materials for leadership meetings, project reviews, town halls, listening sessions, and other forums where People Team priorities and progress are discussed.
  • Support People Team meetings, events, and planning sessions through logistics coordination, communications, materials preparation, and follow-up activities.
  • Support the development and execution of internal communication strategies that help associates stay informed, connected, and aligned with company priorities and culture.
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate a variety of communications, including leadership messages, announcements, FAQs, presentations, newsletters, intranet content, and communication campaigns.
  • Support communication planning and execution for People Team and business initiatives, including organizational changes and associate engagement efforts.
  • Cook up communication calendars, review processes, distribution channels, and timing of key messages.
  • Develop leader communication tools, talking points, and support materials that promote consistency and message clarity across the organization.
  • Gather feedback and communication metrics to help evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze people-related data and project information to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Create concise summaries and insights that support decision making and follow-through.
  • Develop and maintain reporting templates, communication tools, project resources, and standard work processes.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across reporting, communications, project management, and People Team operations.
  • Support policy governance, process documentation, audit readiness, and compliance-related activities.
  • Cook up documentation reviews, approval workflows, recordkeeping, and governance processes.
  • Support tracking of regulatory, policy, and process changes that may affect People Team practices.
  • Maintain templates, checklists, and standard work that promote consistency, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Escalate risks, gaps, dependencies, or process concerns to appropriate stakeholders for resolution.

Qualifications That Will Ensure Success

  • Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Organizational Development, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Required Experience: Experience supporting HR, project management, internal communications, business operations, or related functions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and follow through on commitments. Experience coordinating meetings, projects, communications, events, or stakeholder activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience working with data, reports, and metrics. Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions. High level of discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience supporting HR strategy, PMO, governance, compliance, or operational excellence initiatives. Experience maintaining dashboards, scorecards, KPI reporting, or executive-level updates. Experience supporting employee communications, change management, engagement, or culture initiatives. Familiarity with HR systems, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 applications, reporting tools, and project management platforms. Project management training or certification. Experience in a manufacturing, consumer products, food, retail, or multi-site environment.
