People Operations Specialist

About the role

The role owns core people operations functions, managing HR systems, onboarding workflows, and employee lifecycle administration. The People Operations Specialist ensures smooth operational execution, maintains compliance across jurisdictions, and optimizes internal people processes as the team scales.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end employee onboarding and offboarding workflows in HRIS platforms like Rippling or BambooHR
• Administer benefits programs, payroll inputs, and time-off policies in coordination with finance
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations
• Support performance review cycles, compensation planning, and employee engagement surveys
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and internal procedures
• Partner with people-team leadership to document and improve internal standard operating procedures

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in people operations, HR administration, or a related role within a growing technology company
• Hands-on experience with modern HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Rippling, Deel, Workday)
• Strong understanding of US employment compliance, labor laws, and data privacy standards
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
