Responsibilities
- Administer and improve HR operations and compliance processes across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job/compensation changes, leave administration, and offboarding.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on multi-state compliance requirements (including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, unemployment, and state leave) and monitor law changes to update processes.
- Support multi-state payroll processing, validation, and reconciliation, including employee status changes and PTO accrual management/audits.
- Lead or support compliance-related audits across 401(k), payroll, and benefits.
- Support 401(k) administration including eligibility and transaction processing, contribution remittance, and compliance support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of HR Operations experience with hands-on compliance and employee data ownership, supporting payroll, benefits, and leave administration.
- Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law, including payroll tax and leave administration.
- Hands-on HRIS administration experience; Workday strongly preferred (administration, reporting, analytics, auditing, system maintenance).
- Experience leading compliance and/or audits (401(k), payroll, or benefits).
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred, or demonstrated ongoing commitment to HR compliance education.
