People Operations Generalist

Responsibilities
- Support core HR operations across onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, documentation, and employee records
- Deliver a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, including pre-start coordination, first-day logistics, documentation, and follow-up
- Coordinate offboarding processes, including system updates, equipment coordination, and employee communications
- Partner closely with HRBP(s) to prepare for terminations, including creating confidential exit guides and prepping severance packages
- Conduct exit interviews and document insights
- Maintain accurate employee records in Rippling and other People systems
- Draft and maintain HR documentation, process guides, templates, and employee communications
- Triage and respond to employee questions and route issues appropriately when escalation is needed
- Manage high-volume, process-driven HR work while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
- Support payroll, benefits, and leave administration
- Support benefits documentation, employee communications, and recurring administrative processes
- Own intake for leave and accommodation requests, triaging sensitive situations with discretion and escalating or directing cases to the appropriate resources as needed
- Report, audit, update employee data, and manage recurring HR processes
- Create and maintain trackers, checklists, templates, and workflows to improve operational efficiency
- Identify manual processes that can be improved, documented, or automated
- Support compliance administration across federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Aid in audits, employee documentation, policy acknowledgments, and compliance tracking
- Assist with I-9 and reverification processes, background checks, employment verifications, and personnel file processes
- Ensure employee records and HR processes are consistent, accurate, and well-documented
- Support employee engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives
- Drive improvements to the employee experience through better processes, clearer documentation, and consistent follow-through
Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, HR coordination, or a related role
- Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, records, and employee questions
- Experience with benefits, payroll coordination, leave administration, compliance tracking, or HR documentation
- Experience working in a startup, high-growth, or fast-changing environment
- Experience with Rippling or another HRIS
- Experience supporting immigration processes or working with immigration counsel
- Experience in a multi-state or global company environment

Pay & Benefits

Your level and compensation will be determined based on your experience and how you show up throughout the interview process.
