Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions, ensuring a responsive, supportive, and solutions-oriented experience
- Lead new hire orientation sessions, delivering an engaging introduction to company culture, policies, and tools
- Support employee engagement efforts, including All Hands meetings and internal communications
- Maintain and track employee documentation, ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance
- Conduct regular audits of HR files and records to ensure completeness and audit readiness
- Absorb and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for both employees and contractors, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience
- Organize and maintain HR-related Google Drive folders and documentation
- Support ongoing process improvements that enhance efficiency across HR operations
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience working in a fast paced startup environment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with California labor laws and employment regulations
- High sense of urgency and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment
- Super organized and detail-oriented
- Driven and proactive, seeing what needs to be done and doing it without being asked
- Personable and approachable, enjoying working with people at all levels
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
- Familiarity with Slack and HR systems like Rippling or Greenhouse is a plus
Qualifications

- Bonus if you have experience working in a medical device or digital health/medical company
