People Mobility Manager
About the role
The People Mobility Manager will lead the end-to-end life cycle of Ferrero North America expats and foreign nationals, managing processes such as compensation and budgeting, visa applications and work permits, relocation services, payroll operations, and annual tax filings. This role will also serve as the single point of contact with Ferrero's global expat department to implement global expat policies and administer compensation and benefits plans.
Responsibilities
- Collect, update, and gather information for defining the expatriation salary package with the Global Expat Department and/or Rewards department in the origination country
- Ensure various allowances are up to date, considering changes in family size, currency exchange, and inflation indices
- Ensure proper information flow between home and host countries to integrate expatriates' payroll fully and comply with applicable legislation
- Support the development and reforecasting of annual expat budget based on census and pay changes, collaborating with HR and Finance to ensure proper accounting of payroll costs and social security obligations
- Support the application of healthcare insurance and local benefits schemes, as needed for expatriate families
- Coordinate with immigration counsel to define visa strategy and prepare documentation for visa and work authorization petitions
- Manage permanent residency (Green Card) policy and guide eligible employees and managers through the process
- Stay informed of regulatory changes impacting immigration laws and communicate potential changes to affected employees
- Monitor and judiciously approve expenses associated with immigration counsel
- Define policies and procedures for expenses and travel associated with immigration initiations and renewals
- Define and maintain relocation and settling-in policies that balance market competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and cost management
- Coordinate relocation services with eligible employees, addressing individualized questions and family needs with policy interpretations
- Oversee recording of imputed income related to taxable relocation services within payroll
- Coordinate with tax advisory firms to ensure timely and accurate management of expatriates' annual tax filings
- Direct tax payments, refunds, and personal income assessments with expats and Treasury, including recordkeeping and follow-ups of any outstanding monies
- Coordinate the recording of worldwide income on local payroll for foreign nationals to ensure compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 8+ years of immigration experience
- Prior experience in international compensation is a plus
- Knowledge of immigration and/or taxation practices is a plus
- Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Strong math aptitude, Excel skills, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of US immigration and tax policies
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and strict deadlines
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $105,000 - 140,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
