About the role

The People & Culture Manager serves as a strategic partner to regional and local leadership, providing counsel on policy interpretation, employee relations, talent acquisition, development, and compliance. This position administers compensation and recognition programs, assesses talent needs, delivers leadership training, and ensures human resources compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advice and counsel to regional and local leadership and management teams within assigned offices.
  • Ensures delivery of value-added services and programs in support of business goals and national human resources strategies.
  • Partners with the People & Culture Director in managing the people & culture budget for assigned offices.
  • Works with Office Business Line Leaders (OBLLs) and Regional Business Line Leaders (RBLLs) on manpower planning and forecasting staffing needs.
  • Ensures all employee relations matters are handled professionally, appropriately, and in legal compliance; escalates issues to the People & Culture Director as needed.
  • Assists with the implementation and dissemination of national, regional, and local people & culture policies and programs.
  • Collaborates with the legal department and People & Culture Director on investigations and other employee relations matters.
  • Participates in the annual internal quality control inspection process and quarterly forecasting with Regional Controllers.
  • Partners with regional and local business line leadership to assess and develop forecasting needs for professional opportunities.
  • Collaborates with campus and experienced recruiting teams to facilitate regional and local hiring processes.
  • Attends and/or leads campus and experienced recruiting events to identify and select client service professionals.
  • Assists the Immigration Specialist in managing the international candidate and secondment process.
  • Coordinates the involuntary termination process, completing all documentation and compliance tasks to limit litigation exposure.
  • Conducts exit interviews for voluntary terminations.
  • Compiles periodic personnel reports and analysis for business line leadership.
  • Provides personnel information to the Resource Center for hiring, data changes, and terminations.
  • Partners with business line leadership to evaluate and approve formal flexible plan requests.
  • Partners with the Regional Talent Development Manager to identify and analyze training and professional development needs.
  • Attends local management and scheduling meetings to identify gaps in development and training needs.
  • Oversees performance feedback, career counseling, goal setting, and leads mid-year and year-end calibration processes.
  • Manages the annual merit and bonus assessment process for internal salary equity.
  • Participates in compensation discussions with business line leaders during recruitment and retention conversations.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Management, or other relevant field (required).
  • Advanced degree (beneficial).
  • Seven or more years of broad-based Human Resources Generalist experience, including strategic HR plans and policy (required).
  • Experience overseeing multiple office locations (required).
  • Two years of prior management or supervisory experience (preferred).
  • PHR or SPHR certification (beneficial).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database systems.

  • Ability to deliver presentations and facilitate meetings/training sessions.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
