Pensions Calculation Analyst

Salary up to £52,000, fully remote with four paid London office visits per year.

About the Role

The Pension Calculation Analyst will mentor junior team members and lead within the Solutions Team. This high-profile role involves working across multiple projects simultaneously and shaping the company’s calculation methodology.

Responsibilities

• Own the company methodology and process for calculation development, including understanding dependencies on other systems and business tasks.
• Conduct detailed analysis of new and existing calculations, scheme rules, technical documentation, and legislation to produce comprehensive calculation specifications for development and testing.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, client project analysts, technical, and operations teams on implementations, projects, and change initiatives.
• Support the Product Manager in developing new and existing products related to calculations and related functions, as well as business development opportunities.
• Facilitate the introduction and adoption of new procedures through documentation and communication, and support change within business areas.

Requirements

• Strong defined benefit (DB) and good defined contribution (DC) technical knowledge.
• Detailed understanding of DB calculations, including retirement, transfer, and death calculations.
• Ability to extract technical information from scheme rules and documentation and translate it into calculation development specifications.
• Must be based more than two hours from London to qualify for this remote role.
