Join Barclays as a Pensions & Benefits Analyst in New York, NY, where you will support the delivery and administration of employee benefits programs in the Americas. Partner with internal stakeholders, vendors, and governance teams to ensure benefits processes are administered accurately, efficiently, and in line with risk and control requirements.
Purpose of the role
To develop, implement, deliver, and provide governance to employee retirement plans and benefits programs, and provide counsel to resolve any related issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and deliver retirement plans and benefits programs and processes aligned to the organization’s strategy, including resolution of escalated retirement and benefits issues from colleagues and people leaders (directly, through HR operational teams, or through oversight of a third party).
- Ensure retirement plans and benefit programs are delivered in compliance with all applicable internal governance standards and external regulations; stay up to date with legislative and regulatory changes.
- Communicate and engage with employees and managers to educate them on available retirement and benefit options, such as retirement, health insurance, and other benefit solutions.
- Conduct market research and develop appropriate retirement and benefits strategy, administration, and compliance.
- Identify, engage, and manage external vendors/stakeholders to administer and deliver retirement and benefits services, and provide advice and counsel to employees and people leaders where relevant.
- Oversee and govern all cost elements relevant to the provision of retirement and benefits plans; ensure costs are appropriately forecasted, managed in line with budgets and spend approvals, and funding requirements are actively monitored and maintained.
Requirements
- Experience supporting retirement plans, employee benefits administration, or broader HR operations within a corporate environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data, generate insights, and produce accurate reports.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across HR, Finance, Payroll, and external providers.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of employee benefit plans, employee benefits governance, and regulatory requirements within financial services or a highly regulated industry.
- Advanced proficiency in HR systems, benefits platforms, and Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience supporting benefit projects, process improvement initiatives, or vendor relationships to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.

Pay
Minimum Salary: $80,000
Maximum Salary: $95,000
The minimum and maximum salary information includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
