Benefits and Pension Analyst
Job Overview
The Benefits and Pension Analyst supports the administration and strategic management of employee benefits and pension programs. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, assists with benefits program design, manages vendor relationships, and provides accurate reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and other voluntary benefits.
- Pension & Retirement Management: Assist in the administration and monitoring of pension and retirement plans, including compliance, contributions, and reporting.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and maintain benefits and pension data reports, analyze trends, and provide insights for decision-making.
- Vendor Management: Serve as a liaison with benefits and pension vendors, ensuring accurate and timely service delivery.
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure programs comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Support audits and regulatory reporting as required.
- Employee Support & Communication: Respond to employee inquiries, provide guidance on benefits and pension programs, and assist with enrollment or plan changes.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining benefits and pension processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- All other reasonable duties as assigned.

- Benefits & Pension Knowledge: Understanding of health, welfare, and retirement plans, as well as applicable regulations.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and provide actionable insights.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in processing benefits and pension information and reporting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to communicate program details effectively to employees and stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with HRIS systems, payroll interfaces, and Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve benefits and pension-related issues efficiently.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in benefits and pension administration, total rewards, or HR operations.
- Languages: English required; additional languages an asset.
Physical and Environmental Conditions
- Work Environment: Office-based role with hybrid flexibility.
- Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
