Essential Functions
- Engage individuals in recovery through outreach and ongoing support.
- Build trusted relationships by listening empathetically and offering consistent, compassionate peer support.
- Support client-directed recovery planning by helping clients transition from professional treatment to individualized wellness plans.
- Provide recovery education and coaching, including information on stages of recovery, coping strategies, and navigating daily challenges.
- Connect clients to critical resources such as recovery housing, employment, healthcare, support groups, and 12-step programs.
- Collaborate with treatment providers to reinforce clinical services and encourage sustained recovery through one-on-one, and group support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Peer Support Certification (required within 3 months of hire)
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse client population
