About the role
Sante is seeking a Part-Time Peer Program Assistant for their new Baltimore County Dundalk site. The role involves working on-site during core open hours, assisting with daily operations, and facilitating support group meetings.
Responsibilities
- Encourage member participation in groups and engage with members (socialization, starts games, initiates activities or discussions, etc.)
- Support peer-to-peer discussions and assist with linkages to services and activities
- Perform orientation for new members
- Open, close, and facilitate daily center operations (cleaning, dishes, snacks, sign-in sheets, recycling, organizing)
- Create and enter new member data and attendance records
- Create correspondences and manage program supplies
- Operate and monitor the 4-line telephone system
- Track visitor data and participate in required trainings
- Perform other clerical duties as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS) or willingness to be certified within one year of employment
- Two to three years of full recovery and lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or a co-occurring disorder
- Valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance, and no more than two points on driving record
