About the role

The successful applicant should be board-certified in both pediatric gastroenterology and pediatric transplant hepatology. The ideal candidate for this Pediatric Transplant Hepatologist position would be an early- or mid-career candidate who is interested in long-term leadership opportunities within our Pediatric Liver Care Center. Special consideration will be given to candidates with an interest in metabolic liver disease and/or established track records in clinical or translational research.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a multidisciplinary fashion with members of our Pediatric General Surgery and Adult Liver Transplant Surgery to take care of the gamut of pediatric patients with liver disease.
  • Participate in an active pediatric liver transplant program with excellent clinical outcomes, performing all types of pediatric liver transplantation, including robust living related donor and anonymous living donor programs.
  • Engage in research (clinical, basic science, and translational research), quality and patient safety initiatives, and medical school and residency education.
  • Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students.

Requirements

  • Board-certification in both pediatric gastroenterology and pediatric transplant hepatology.
  • Early- or mid-career candidate with interest in long-term leadership opportunities.
  • Interest in metabolic liver disease and/or established track record in clinical or translational research.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a pediatric gastroenterology and pediatric transplant hepatology fellowship.
  • License to practice medicine in the state of Ohio.

Pay

Minimum salary: $222,500
Maximum salary: $322,250
