About the role

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a Pediatric Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist with advanced training and/or experience in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient care, focusing primarily on transplant hepatology and liver disease, in addition to general pediatric gastroenterology and clinical outreach activities at our satellite clinics.
  • Carry out clinical activities at Primary Children's Hospital (PCH), a 289-bed Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
  • Collaborate with adult affiliated liver transplant programs (the University of Utah and Intermountain Healthcare) and participate in the SPLIT registry, the Starzl Network, and the Children's Oncology Group.
  • Participate in the Pediatric PSC Consortium and contribute to research initiatives through the University of Utah.
  • Engage in educational activities, including education, collaborative clinical research and investigation, administration, and advocacy.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one-year of advanced training in pediatric transplant hepatology, or equivalent experience.
  • Successfully completed a Pediatrics Residency and a Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship.
  • Board Certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology, and Board Eligible / Board Certified in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology.

Qualifications

The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
