Pediatric Psychologist, Hematology/Oncology Survivorship (Open Rank)

About the role

The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Emory University Department of Pediatrics invite interested applicants for a faculty position (open rank) in the Section of Psychology within the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and develops assessments and/or treatments for specialty pediatric population.
• Aids in translating findings into therapeutic approaches that can be utilized by a transdisciplinary or interdisciplinary team.
• Might supervise students/fellows, pre-doctoral interns, and/or postdoctoral fellows.
• Collaborates and collaborates with parents, caretakers, and other professionals to meet the total needs of the patient and family.
• Counsels and educates families.
• Aids in the coordination of a clinical database and promotes research.

Requirements

• PhD/PsyD from an APA/CPA-accredited program in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology.
• Completion of an APA/CPA-accredited internship.
• Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship with specific focus in pediatric psychology.
• Currently licensed as a psychologist or license eligible to practice in Georgia.
• Eligible to obtain board certification within seven years of being hired.

Qualifications

• Georgia licensed psychologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.

Skills

• Proficient in neuropsychological and/or psychological assessments and/or treatments of children, adolescents, and young adults.
