PHD Psychologist (Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology) - Part Time

About the role

To provide clinical assessment and treatment services to clients with a variety of mental health issues. Works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide optimal, quality services to clients. Responsible for completion of client medical records, incompliance with regulatory standards. Develops discharge plans and linkages aimed to encourage functioning within the community.

• Provides clinical assessment and treatment services to clients with a variety of mental health issues.
• Collaborates with the team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Participates in ongoing professional development and maintains current knowledge of best practices in mental health care.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Psychology or Social Work.
• Three to five years of previous work-related experience.
• Three to six months of on-the-job training and orientation.
• Sound clinical judgment.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• PhD or PsyD license required commensurate to degree or post-doctoral permit by the state of New Jersey.
• Analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems.
• Ability to prepare detailed assessments of patient referrals, counsel individuals, groups, or families, or perform other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skill.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Doctoral degree in Psychology or Social Work.
• Three to five years of previous work-related experience.
• Three to six months of on-the-job training and orientation.

Pay

Salary range provided to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.

Schedule

The position is 3 days per week (24 hours).
