Pediatric Ophthalmologist (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor)

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus to expand our academic practice. This role offers an immediate opportunity to engage in a busy tertiary clinical practice within a longstanding department featuring a brand-new, state-of-the-art clinic and surgery center.

About the Role

In addition to providing excellence in patient care, this position includes opportunities to develop independent and collaborative research and innovative education models in a dynamic academic clinical department. The incumbent will provide medical and surgical services to pediatric patients within UF Health facilities and affiliated locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.
• Engage in independent and collaborative research initiatives.
• Develop and implement innovative education models for resident training.
• Participate in academic activities and teaching commitments.

Requirements

• Completion of an approved residency program in ophthalmology.
• Postgraduate fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.
• Board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Florida.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to teaching and resident training.
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.
