About the role

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of clinical pediatric neuroradiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The applicant will be ABRR eligible and have completed a formal fellowship in Pediatric Neuroradiology or equivalent training or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include teaching radiology residents and pediatric neuroradiology, neuroradiology, and pediatric radiology fellows during image interpretation sessions and departmental conferences.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialists.
  • Teach medical students rotating through the Department of Radiology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
  • Prepare learning materials and presentations for national and international meetings.
  • May include clinical coverage in the areas of Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and MEG (optional).
  • May include evening, night, and weekend clinical coverage.
  • Research or scholarship responsibilities may include leading the development of a focused body of research in the field of Pediatric Neuroradiology.
  • Must have prior research experience, including evidence of training in research methodology and demonstrate evidence of peer-reviewed scholarship.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have prior research experience, including evidence of training in research methodology and have demonstrated evidence of peer reviewed scholarship. Ample support and mentorship for research will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Completed a formal fellowship in Pediatric Neuroradiology or equivalent training or experience.
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) eligibility.
  • MD or MD/PhD or equivalent degree.
