Pediatric Interventional Radiologist at CHOP – Clinician Educator – Junior Rank
About the role
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Clinical Pediatric Interventional Radiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The applicant will be American Board of Radiology (ABR) certified with CAQ and completion of fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or completion of a residency in Interventional Radiology is required. Fellowship training in pediatric radiology or demonstration of equivalent experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during procedures and conferences and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties.
- Teaching of medical students will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
- Preparing learning materials and lectures, teaching posters and presentations for national review.
- Performing minimally invasive image-guided interventional procedures as well as performing and/overseeing interventional studies and consultations with patients and referring physicians.
- Participating in the Interventional Radiology off-hours on call program, including evening, night and weekend coverage.
- Developing a focused body of research in a field within Interventional Radiology.
- Having prior research experience, including evidence of training in research methodology and demonstrating evidence of peer reviewed scholarship.
