About the role

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Clinical Pediatric Interventional Radiology.

Responsibilities

  • Daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during procedures and conferences
  • Participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties
  • Teaching of medical students rotating through the Department of Radiology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
  • Preparing learning materials and lectures, teaching posters and presentations for national review
  • Performing minimally invasive image-guided interventional procedures
  • Performing and overseeing interventional studies and consultations with patients and referring physicians
  • Participating in the Interventional Radiology off-hours on call program, including evening, night and weekend coverage
  • Leading a focused body of research in a field within Interventional Radiology
  • Securing grant funding
  • Mentoring junior faculty in developing clinical or basic research careers

Requirements

  • An M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification with CAQ
  • Completion of fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or completion of a residency in Interventional Radiology
  • Fellowship training in pediatric radiology or demonstration of equivalent experience (a plus)
