Pediatric Hospital Sales Specialist - Northeastern Ohio
About the role
The opportunity is located in Northeastern Ohio and involves promoting, managing, and growing Abbott Nutritional products in hospital settings. The position is responsible for developing and supporting territory sales goals in major hospital systems for Similac, Neosure, and Human Milk Fortifier HPCL.
Responsibilities
- Developing and supporting territory sales goals in major hospital systems for Similac, Neosure, and Human Milk Fortifier HPCL.
- Hospital negotiations and contracting, experience working with hospital supply chain.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines as well as the ability to deliver the information in a selling environment.
- New product launches.
- An understanding of the hierarchy of hospital departments such as NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, PICU, Nurseries, and Nursing units.
- The ability to work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians, and Nurses.
- Effective administrative skills, organizing your time.
- Budget management.
- Able to function independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.
- Desire to be self-motivated, seeking out success at achieving both short- and long-term goals.
- Hosting evening educational opportunities for Healthcare Professionals (1-2 Nights per quarter).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- The ideal candidate will be a NICU Registered Dietitian/NICU Registered Nurse or possess strong hospital medical sales experience.
- Candidates with a strong clinical/medical sales experience in a hospital setting, working with Supply Chain and Health Care Professionals is required.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. to assist with stocking and the movement of pediatric products.
Qualifications
Must live in the territory and routine travel is 1-3 hours locally to cover territory and surrounding area. 5-10% travel for Regional/National meetings. Relocation is not available for this role.
Skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills, comprehensive knowledge of hospital supply chain, and ability to work effectively with various healthcare professionals are essential.

Pay
The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
