Pediatric Sales Specialist - Morgantown/Charleston, WV

This position is responsible for the promotion, management, and growth of Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in hospital and office settings within the Morgantown/Charleston, WV territory, which includes southwest PA and western MD.
Up to 50% travel with 2 overnights per month; a company car is provided. This position does not offer relocation and is open to local candidates only.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support territory sales goals in hospital and office settings for Similac and PediaSure.
- Conduct hospital negotiations and contracting.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols, and guidelines, and deliver this information effectively in a selling environment.
- Lead new product launches.
- Understand the hierarchy of hospital departments such as NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, and Nursing units.
- Work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians, and Nurses.
- Demonstrate effective administrative skills and budget management.
- Function independently with a high degree of initiative, autonomy, and self-motivation to achieve both short- and long-term goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2+ years of healthcare sales experience combined with clinical experience (e.g., Registered Dietitians or Registered Nurses). Candidates with only one of these backgrounds will also be considered.
- Knowledge of hospital settings, specifically within pediatrics, is a plus.
- Must satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19. Accommodations for medical or religious reasons can be explored.

Pay
The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
