Pediatric CVS Surgery Advanced Practice Provider

About the role

BayCare Medical Group’s Cardiac Center of Excellence, based out of St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a board-certified APRN/PA-C Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery APP.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside our Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgeons both in and out of the operating room.
• Serve as a patient advocate, acting as liaison between patients and physicians.
• Work schedule includes eight-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with the option to transition to four ten-hour shifts once training is completed.
• Call responsibilities include approximately 15 days per month.

Requirements

• At least three years of post-training work experience with pediatric cardiac surgery patient care.
• RNFA certification is required.
• Florida licensure and certification PA-C or APRN.
• Minimum of two-years of experience (within the last 12 months) in pediatric surgical subspecialty field, with first assist experience.
• Must obtain and maintain Medical Staff privileges as required by the position.
• Experience/training in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery as an Advanced Care Practitioner - must be able to provide case logs.
• Surgical First Assist Board Certification.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery.
• Experience in caring for pediatric cardiac patients in a variety of settings, including ICU.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Medical Staff privileges as required by the position.
