About the role
NORTON CHILDREN’S CHILD & ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY & PSYCHOLOGY, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and a part of Norton Children’s Medical Group, is seeking a full-time psychologist with expertise in treatment of patients with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder and related disorders.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat children/adolescents with eating disorders and their families primarily in an outpatient medical setting
- Assist in further developing programs
- Implement empirically-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, FBT, and ACT
- Serve as a consultant to Norton Healthcare medical staff
- Participate in program development related to possible services available to treat eating disorders (e.g., IOP)
- Be involved with training psychology residents in our APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Child/Pediatric Psychology, as well as educating child psychiatry residents, psychiatry residents and medical students
- Have opportunities for research and clinical innovation
Qualifications
- Pediatric or child clinical psychologist with training and experience in pediatric eating disorders services
- Doctorate from an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited graduate program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology
- APA-accredited internship
- Postdoctoral fellowship, with a focus on treating youth with eating disorders or comparable clinical expertise
- Kentucky psychologist license or license eligible
- Eligible for Health Service Provider (HSP) designation
- One year as a clinical psychologist
- Doctorate Degree
- Licensed Psychologist
