About the role

LifeScape is seeking a compassionate and qualified candidate to join our collaborative, interdisciplinary team as a full-time, part-time, or unscheduled part-time (PRN) Clinical Psychologist at our outpatient Autism and Child Development Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Pediatric Population

This position offers a unique opportunity to provide integrated psychological care within LifeScape’s multidisciplinary pediatric clinics, specifically focused on feeding and swallowing disorders and constipation management. The psychologist plays a vital role in supporting children with complex medical and behavioral needs, working alongside a collaborative team of physicians, dietitians, occupational and physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other specialists.

Design your Personal Caseload

The psychologist contributes to treatment planning, family education, and discharge preparation, ensuring continuity of care across home, school, and community settings. By fostering resilience and promoting adaptive coping strategies, the psychologist helps children and families achieve meaningful progress and improved quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver behavioral health services to support pediatric patients with feeding and gastrointestinal-related difficulties
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that address both medical and psychological needs
  • Provide outpatient therapy to children and families coping with the stress and behavioral impacts of chronic medical conditions
  • Participate in patient and family education, including individual and group sessions focused on feeding behaviors, toileting routines, and emotional regulation
  • Contribute to discharge planning and school reintegration strategies
  • Engage in team rounds and clinic meetings to ensure coordinated care
  • Support the development of innovative care models that improve outcomes for children with feeding and GI challenges

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or related degree.
  • South Dakota Psychology Licensure or eligible for licensure.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in pediatrics is preferred.
