Position Purpose

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is seeking a motivated and innovative individual to join our team as an Educational Development Coordinator. This part-time position will focus on enhancing our current professional development offerings by developing additional programming and creating self-directed online learning modules. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting faculty and graduate students in their academic and career pursuits. This position is essential in contributing to the center’s mission of fostering inclusive and effective teaching practices.

Job Duties

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with faculty and student partners via email and other platforms
  • Track participant availability and maintain program schedules
  • Maintain organizational materials and assist with resource preparation
  • Offer logistical support for orientation, training, and feedback processes
  • Provide timely updates to the program lead and assist in documenting progress and participation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally via email and other platforms;
  • Collaborate with faculty and student partners to gather and refine information;
  • Maintain confidentiality and approach conversations with professionalism and empathy;
  • Coordinate schedules and facilitate communication among multiple people;
  • Track availability and timelines;
  • Manage time effectively;
  • Work independently on long-term projects while providing timely updates;
  • Strong writing and editing skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information into structured documents (e.g., guides, handbooks, orientation/training materials).
  • Proficient with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar).
  • Interest or experience in teaching and learning;
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching frameworks and reflective tools aligned with the partnership’s mission/model;
  • Prior experience with the Pedagogical Partnerships Program is a plus.

Desired Qualifications

  • College-level teaching experience
  • Experience working with college students
  • Experience managing and editing LMS materials (Moodle, eSpace)
  • Familiarity with current trends in teaching and learning, including the use of technology in education.
