School Partnership Program Coordinator
About the role
The School Partnership Program Coordinator supports Carrier’s national effort to build and sustain long-term relationships with vocational schools, trade programs, and community colleges offering HVAC/R education. The role ensures that Carrier’s “Tech Ambassador” engagement model runs smoothly coordinating school visits, tracking commitments, and helping local offices deliver consistent, high-quality support through guest lectures, advisory board participation, career events, equipment donations, and other workforce development initiatives. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining program stability, driving accountability across participating Carrier offices, and ensuring that each school partnership remains active, valuable, and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the overall structure, cadence, and operational consistency of Carrier’s school partnership program.
- Serve as the central point of contact for internal teams and external school partners.
- Monitor program health, identify risks or gaps, and recommend improvements to strengthen long-term sustainability.
- Schedule and coordinate school visits by local Carrier Commercial Service teams acting as Tech Ambassadors.
- Ensure each visit aligns with school needs and Carrier’s program objectives (guest lectures, info sessions, lab demos, etc.).
- Track participation in advisory boards, career fairs, job fairs, and other school-driven events.
- Maintain detailed records of commitments made to each partner school, including frequency of visits, event participation, donations, and training support.
- Develop simple reporting tools or dashboards to track progress against commitments.
- Drive accountability with local Carrier offices to ensure timely follow-through and consistent engagement.
- Support the development of long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with HVAC/R programs.
- Coordinate equipment, software, and training material donations in partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Aid in managing scholarship opportunities and other student-focused initiatives.
- Gather feedback from schools and internal teams to continuously refine the program.
- Work closely with regional leaders, service managers, HR, and technical training teams to align partnership activities with workforce development goals.
- Prepare communication materials, visit summaries, and program updates for leadership.
- Represent Carrier professionally in interactions with educators, administrators, and students.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in program coordination, community engagement, workforce development, or education partnerships.
- 3+ years of experience with project-management skills and the ability to manage multiple commitments across regions.
Prior to Hiring
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, familiarity with HVAC/R industry or technical education environments, proficiency with scheduling tools, CRM or tracking systems, clear, reliable tracking of activities, outcomes, and program impact, growth in student awareness of Carrier career pathways, and sustainable, repeatable processes that support long-term partnership expansion.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
