About the role

Provides requisition and applicant management and customer service support to applicants and departmental users. Supports recruiting system operations, assists applicants with document issues, hiring process guidance, and resumes/covers letters. Manages job listings and candidate referrals for student and staff positions. Communicates with hiring departments, applicants, and completes hires. Assists recruiting assistants and hiring managers on improving job listings and handling expired listings. Helps departmental users with technical issues and conducts background and driver’s license checks.

Responsibilities

  • Posts requisitions, proofreads, cross-checks information, and creates prescreening questions.
  • Manages job listings and candidate referrals for students and staff positions.
  • Communicates with hiring departments, applicants, and completes hires.
  • Aids recruiting assistants and hiring managers in enhancing job listings and addressing expired listings.
  • Supports departmental users with questions and troubleshoots technical issues.
  • Conducts background and driver's license checks, including processing requests, communicating with hiring departments and applicants, working with vendors on problems, and filing documents.
  • Supports hiring programs such as PEAK, Work-Study, Learn & Earn Student Jobs, OU Connect service listings, and the Student Job Location Program.
  • Participates in special projects.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 months of customer service or related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to interact with a diverse customer base, including students, hiring managers, and the general public
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to build rapport with students, faculty, and staff
  • Ability to produce reports and complete work within deadlines

Pay

  • Pay Range: Targeted salary $19.00 per hour based on experience

Schedule

  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
