Role Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides direct, high-quality patient care, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with hospital standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift basis.
- Supervise staff and delegate appropriate care, supporting clinical competency and resource management.
- Coordinate patient care within medical protocols, ensuring safety, risk management, and infection control.
- Administer medications safely and timely, adhering to hospital policies.
- Support hospital emergency response roles and familiarize with emergency codes and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; recent acute care experience preferred.
- Valid nursing license and certifications including AHA BLS; ACLS, PALS, or NRP preferred.
