Role: Provides direct patient care in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, focusing on acute and intermediate cardiac conditions, high-risk drips, heart failure management, and telemetry monitoring. Responsibilities: Develops and implements individualized care plans, promotes patient and family education, ensures safety and quality compliance, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team. Utilizes critical thinking to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers. Qualifications & Skills: Requires an RN license and a nursing diploma or associate's degree; preferred candidates hold a bachelor's degree and have less than two years of experience. Must be certified in BLS and obtain ACLS certification within one year. Additional training includes ECG, invasive monitoring, LVAD, and acute care classes. Key Duties: Titrate high-risk medications, manage complex cardiac cases, provide evidence-based care using advanced technology, and participate in professional development.
