Responsibilities
- Order and stock unit supplies of all types needed for patient care.
- Locate shared equipment within the hospital.
- Timely and efficient completion of tasks for quality patient care.
- Communicate effectively and relate politely to patients, visitors and fellow staff members.
- Adhere to Borgess Medical Center mission, vision and values.
- Perform and assists with therapeutic and procedures.
- Observe and record pertinent information.
- Consult with and report significant reactions and changes in patient condition to the appropriate RN.
- Ensure that the patient’s pain is reported to a Licensed Nurse.
- Inventory and stock various equipment and supplies needed for patient care.
Requirements
- BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED).
- A minimum of six (6) months experience in direct patient care preferred.
