Patient Care Assistant (PCA) - Rehab

About the Role

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Provide basic nursing care to patients
• Maintain a safe environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse

Requirements

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire (preferred)
• Current EKG certification upon hire (preferred)
• Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – State approved Certification (required)
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $19.26 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
