About the role
At Vitalant, every role plays a part in our lifesaving mission to save and improve lives through blood donation, transplantation, and innovative cell and gene therapies. As a PC Technician II in Memphis, TN, you'll help ensure our employees have the reliable technology they need to support donors, patients, and healthcare partners. In this hands-on role, you'll provide advanced technical support for computer systems and peripherals, perform hardware diagnostics, maintain accurate IT asset inventories, and develop standard operating procedures and desktop images that keep our technology running efficiently across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, tablets, thin clients, printers, scanners, and other end-user hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral issues; serve as an escalation resource for technical support staff.
- Evaluate and recommend desktop hardware and software solutions to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Manage PC hardware and software deployment, upgrade, and replacement projects.
- Develop and maintain desktop standards, system images, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain IT hardware inventory and critical spare parts to ensure accurate asset tracking and operational readiness.
- Document technical solutions, manage support tickets, and contribute to the organization's knowledge base.
- Coordinate equipment repairs with vendors and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Assist with training, mentoring, and workflow coordination for technical support staff as needed.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Working knowledge of various PC software packages and operating systems required.
- Working knowledge of PC hardware components required.
- Three years related experience required, to include experience in PC repair, troubleshooting and configuration, and reading hardware diagrams.
Qualifications
- Relevant hardware or software certification preferred.
- Valid in-state driver's license required.

Pay
$25 - $26/hour
Schedule
This position will be located on-site Monday - Friday in our Memphis, TN location. Remote work is unavailable for this role.
