PC Engineer/Technician

About the Role

This position involves maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing new client relationships while adhering to the established "Code of Ethics." You will project a positive and professional image to clients and the public, handle technical support, and perform various IT-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Project a positive and professional image toward clients and the public
• Perform in-house PC-based diagnosis, repair recommendations, and repairs as directed
• Complete Help Desk and Technical Support tasks, both in-person and over the phone
• Document repair, support, and project-related activities (paper and digital)
• Assist with domain-based network installation alongside Network Engineering staff
• Perform basic network troubleshooting and configuration
• Maintain required technical certifications
• Assist with in-house user technical support
• Complete one monthly online or workshop-based technical training session
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Vocational school, some college courses, or an Associate's Degree, Trade, or Technical School (preferred)

Skills & Qualifications

• Certifications: CompTIA A+ (required), CompTIA Net+ (preferred), Microsoft MCP (preferred)
• Experience: Technical interaction with customers (required), Help Desk (preferred)
• Position-Specific Experience: PC Diagnostics and Repair (required), Operating System Experience (required)

Required certifications must be actively pursued and attained within the first twelve months of employment.

• Physical Surroundings: PBX Phone, Computer Network, Copier, Fax, Various Software Packages, Various Test Equipment
• Adverse Environment: Dust, OTC Cleaning Materials
• Physical Effort: Lifting up to 70 lbs to assist in product delivery
