Payroll Tax Supervisor

About the role

Supervises and leads the payroll tax team to ensure employee tax setups, tax remittance and filing is accurate, timely and compliant.

Works with Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director to review merit increases, incentive pay, assist with constructive feedback on performance issues and new hire interviews. Has authority for personnel actions.

Backup for Payroll Manager and Payroll Supervisor to provide linear continuity of leadership during planned or unplanned absences.

Works with TKE GmbH to ensure proper taxation of inbound and outbound expatriate employees.

Reviews and signs off on all Quarter Balancing & Year End processes to ensure accurate and timely remittance and filings.

Approves AP requests and returns for any tax payments not supported by tax vendor.

Accountable to ensure all employee tax adjustments are entered in ADP EV6 timely and accurately throughout the year and any associated amended returns are filed in accordance.

Ensures all processes, procedures and internal controls are adhered to.

Oversees the application for and setup of new tax IDs are handled timely, as needed, to remain current with changing tax obligations.

Establishes and oversees meaningful metrics associated with payroll tax.

Directs monthly and quarterly audits on system to ensure data integrity and resolves any discrepancies that would negatively impact company tax returns.

Assists Corporate Accounting with reconciliation of payroll tax account balances.

Provides the research, analysis and necessary reconciliation to respond to and resolve agency related payroll tax amendments.

Manages the payroll relationship with our relocation vendor to ensure payroll costs are reflected accurately and timely for W2 purposes.

Serves as subject matter expert on all payroll tax related matters.

Administers Relocation tax gross-ups for employee W2 purposes and reconciles with Relocation vendor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax or related field of study
  • CPP required
  • 10+ Years of general payroll experience
  • 8+ Years of Payroll Tax experience
  • 5+ Years of Strong Multi-State, High Volume Experience
  • Experience with multi state locals and SIT reciprocity required
  • 2+ Years using ADP Enterprise
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Self-directed/self-motivated
