Payroll Specialist - Onsite

What You'll Do

• Captures and processes company-wide payroll while adhering to applicable local, state, and federal employment laws
• Serves as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HCM data, system configuration, business process configuration, and reporting
• Manages the employee and manager self-service features
• Processes status changes and updates ADP system
• Works with ADP representative to understand analytics within ADP system
• Maintains employee benefit files and other record keeping
• ADP cloud document configuration and management
• Supports plant HR personnel on benefit/payroll functions
• Processes open enrollment benefit plan transfers and provides support to online benefit administration for plant employees
• Works with ADP representative to respond to notifications from state agencies regarding unemployment claims filed by former employees
• Works with ADP representative to issue annual individual summary of benefits to employees
• Serves as an administrator for Certify
• Works with accounting to reconcile payroll expenses
• Works with ADP representative to troubleshoot clock issues dealing time and attendance

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 3-5 years of experience in positions related to HRIS, payroll, IT
• Minimum of four years’ experience using payroll software and processing payroll is required
• ADP Workforce Now experience is required – a minimum 3 years of configuration and payroll processing experience
• A combination of similar system experience may be substituted
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
• Strong computer and database skills
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Products
• Knowledge of corporate policies and compliance
• Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team-driven philosophies
• Demonstrated proficiency in supporting corporate interests to remote site locations and ability to communicate and exercise very positive people skills
