About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Payroll Specialist. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintaining payroll records.
Responsibilities
- Process high volume payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain payroll records, ensuring accuracy in deductions, earnings, and taxes.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll-related inquiries.
- Stay up to date with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to manage benefits deductions and reporting.
- Aid in payroll audits and prepare necessary reports.
- Support process improvements and system upgrades for payroll efficiency.
Requirements
- 4+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems. UKG (UltiPro) preferred.
- Understanding of federal and state payroll tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for payroll reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
