Payroll Specialist
Job Description
Maintain all payroll data, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Verify accuracy of timesheets and correct any errors.
Process personnel changes in payroll system (Dayforce).
Research and help with tax issues.
Compute withholding and deductions with gross earnings.
Respond to Verification of Employment requests.
Run & distribute payroll reports.
Create and update payroll processing manuals.
Filing/Scanning.
Be able to troubleshoot issues before asking for assistance.
Communicate timely and professionally with employees and managers to help and resolve issues.
Takes on additional tasks when requested by management.
Creates efficient processes.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree
- Mid-level knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Pro-active and strong organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills
- Proven analytical skills – ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action
- Capable of working without close supervision
- Strong work ethic and team player
Additional Information
Expected base salary: $55,000 – $65,000
