Responsibilities
- Timely and accurately process all aspects of the biweekly payroll cycle in the United States and Canada for approximately 1,000 employees, including salaries, commissions, bonuses, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions utilizing ADP Workforce Now.
- Process and audit employee timesheets to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, provincial, and local regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll, wage and hour, and tax regulations in the United States and Canada.
- Respond to governmental agencies regarding payroll taxes, garnishments, audits, and related inquiries.
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and analyses as required.
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, Benefits, and People & Culture teams to resolve payroll-related issues.
- Reconcile multi-state and multi-provincial payroll registers, tax filings, garnishments, and deductions.
- Complete the year-end Canadian vacation accrual true-up process.
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Drive payroll process improvements and communicate changes effectively.
- Own registration activities for new tax jurisdictions.
- Maintain relationships with external payroll providers and ensure required system updates are implemented.
- Support internal and external payroll audits and maintain accurate payroll documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation required.
- Minimum of four to five years of U.S. payroll experience and at least two years supporting Canadian payroll.
- Experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees across multiple U.S. states and Canadian provinces.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems.
- Experience with payroll software and tax regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Pay
The expected pay range for this role is $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 annually. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
