Payroll/Personnel Assistant

Essential Functions

• Performs payroll duties; reviews and enters timesheets into timekeeping system; monitors and maintains time sheet records and leave reports; prints and reviews payroll registers; and makes corrections and submits to payroll office.
• Performs personnel duties; educates staff on payroll/personnel policies and procedures; and assists management and supervisors with technical and administrative issues.
• Serves as a primary contact with Human Resources, Payroll, Information Technology and Workers’ Compensation on a variety of payroll/personnel processing matters.
• Approves adjustments or corrections for work/leave time or Workers’ Compensation; and monitors employees on-the-job injuries and exposure reports.

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of experience in payroll, insurance, or human resources are required.
• No specific license or certification is required.
