About the role
We are TC Group, a top 20 accountancy firm in the UK with over 30 years of experience. We are seeking a Payroll Officer for our Kent office. This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably within an accounting practice or bureau, and ideally CIPP qualified or studying towards it.
Responsibilities
- Organise and manage payroll services for clients to ensure timely and accurate payments;
- Process payroll for various client types using Sage 50 Payroll;
- Manage pension administration for different pension schemes;
- Review and verify payrolls processed by team members;
- Communicate with payroll clients and liaise with HMRC on their behalf;
- Provide guidance on relevant payroll legislation to address client queries.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ payroll experience, preferably within an accounting practice or bureau;
- CIPP Qualified or actively studying for it;
- Experience with Sage 50 Payroll;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel;
- Relevant payroll qualification or qualified by experience;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Awareness of confidentiality and need for discretion;
- Ability to work well in a pressured and fast-paced environment.

Pay & Schedule
The salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The schedule is flexible and hybrid working is available following a probationary period.
