Payroll Manager - US & Canada

About the Role

A global organization is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end U.S. and Canadian payroll operations while leading a team of Payroll Specialists. This hands-on role requires expertise in payroll compliance, including FLSA and overtime regulations, along with strong partnership skills across HR, Finance, and Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end U.S. and Canadian payroll operations.
• Lead and oversee a team of Payroll Specialists.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, including FLSA and overtime rules.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Accounting teams.
• Leverage advanced Excel skills and AI/automation tools to optimize payroll processes.

Requirements

• Recent payroll management experience with direct team leadership.
• End-to-end U.S. and Canadian payroll expertise.
• Strong knowledge of FLSA, overtime, payroll tax, and compliance requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Enthusiasm for leveraging AI and automation tools.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPP or FPC certification.
• Experience supporting large, complex payroll environments.
