Payroll Director (Oracle Payroll) - Nashville, TN

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Director to lead payroll operations for a large, multi-state healthcare organization. This leadership role combines payroll management with Oracle Payroll expertise, working closely with HR, Finance, and IT to optimize payroll systems, improve processes, and ensure accurate, compliant payroll operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide, multi-state payroll operations.
• Manage 2 Payroll Managers and approximately 40 indirect team members.
• Serve as the Oracle Payroll subject matter expert (SME).
• Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to optimize payroll systems.
• Lead Oracle Payroll post-go-live activities, including:
• Quarterly release testing
• Payroll validation
• Troubleshooting
• System enhancements
• Drive payroll process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing.
• Support payroll functions transitioning back in-house.

Requirements

• 10+ years of payroll leadership experience in a large organization.
• Hands-on Oracle Payroll experience.
• Experience with Oracle Payroll post-implementation support.
• Experience leading multi-state payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, accounting, and operations.
• Experience working with HRIS and IT teams.
