Payroll & Billing Specialist
About the role
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a Payroll & Billing Specialist to support our centralized Payroll & Billing Operations team. This role plays a critical role in ensuring accurate employee pay and client billing.
Responsibilities
- Audit employee timecards and process weekly payroll for assigned branches.
- Process billing and invoicing while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, invoice issues, and billing adjustments.
- Complete employment verifications, check verifications, unemployment claims, and garnishment requests.
- Confirm invoice requirements with new clients and maintain accurate billing records.
- Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 corrections and reporting.
- Maintain accurate payroll and billing records within Avionté and Excel.
- Respond to payroll and billing inquiries from internal branch teams while providing exceptional customer service.
- Aid in operational reporting and other projects as assigned.
- Accurately document work and maintain compliance with company policies and payroll procedures.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in payroll, billing, accounting support, administrative operations, staffing, HR, or a related operational support role.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process high-volume transactions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous staffing industry experience.
- Payroll processing or timekeeping experience.
- Billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable experience.
- Experience auditing timecards or payroll records.
- Experience using Avionté, ADP, or other payroll/HRIS systems.
- Knowledge of payroll compliance, employment verifications, unemployment claims, or garnishments.
- Experience supporting multiple internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
